The Galleries

Though this project features interviews from Syunik to Lori Marz, these gallery images focus on three locations: Gyumri, Spitak, and Shirakamut.  Story Beyond The Ruins believes that these three locations tell a compelling and multifaceted story of the 1988 Armenian earthquake, from its impact on an Armenian village to its impact on an important cultural and industrial capital. The images were collected during the interview process and showcase both the remnants of the earthquake as well as the physical and cultural recovery of region.
